I always thought the first commandment of the Ten Commandments was strange. The first commandment reads: "I AM THE LORD THY GOD! THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BUT ME!"
I found it strange because if there is only one God, why would the first commandment talk about the possibility of other gods? I thought you had only to think about God and Satan.
At first I thought maybe God was a jealous god. As I got older I realized that the first commandment had nothing to with jealousy. It deals with the supreme wisdom of Almighty God.
God was not thinking about what he wanted. He was explaining traps that will be set by Satan,
The number one purpose of Satan is to convince the world in believing that God is not real. How then does he do this? He gives you something to believe in besides God. Something to worship with all your body, mind and soul. Do you want to know what this most powerful weapon of Satan's is?
It is fiat money.
I think it is no mistake that on the back of a dollar bill it states. "IN GOD WE TRUST".
Unfortunately we have taken on another god besides God. We as Americans believe in the god money far more than we believe in The God of the Universe.
