In this life, it has become increasingly harder to stay in shape both mentally and physically. Below there is a short list of do's and don'ts you should follow to stay healthy. This list in no way covers everything that is needed to be healthy, but it is a good starting point.
Do not eat processed or fast food. Good things take work, and your food is a good thing. Prepare all of your meals.
Do not microwave your food. Other than the radiation from the sun, all other radiation is bad for you...and your food.
Do not watch a lot of television. TV. shows are called programs for a reason.
If you are thirsty, drink water. Leave the soda, juices and sports drinks at the store. Your body is over 70% water. It seems to me that water is the best choice.
Sit still. Take time throughout the day to stop the maddening chatter that goes on in your mind. Meditation is vital to good health.
Read positive books. Growth should be a life long adventure, and reading books is a great way to grow.
Stop eating (so-called) food without knowing the ingredients first. If you can not pronounce the ingredients, your body is probably going to be a little confused as well on what to do with that so-called food.
Don't sit in front of a computer for long periods of time. You eyes are perfectly designed to look at nature. Computers are not natural.
If you are sick or ailing don't just rely on pharmaceuticals to solve your problems. There are many herbs and vitamins that have been around long before the drug store. Strange, I have never had a doctor prescribe a vitamin to me. I wonder why?
Fast periodically. Your body needs time to reset from all the abuse it takes on a daily basis. Fasting is one of the best ways to recover.
Exercise. Don't be a couch potato. Move!
Avoid toxic situations and people. The toxicity is contagious.
Develop your powers of induction and deduction. Being just an emotional human being will harm you.
Forget your past. Take the lessons from the past and throw the rest away. What really happened in the past and your memory of the past are not the same. It is HIS-STORY or HER-STORY.
Take time to add these 14 principles to your life. Incorporate them with the other things that are positive routines in your life.
You get one shot at being here, you might as well give it your best shot!
